Who We Are

Lutheran School of Nursing is a 28-month hospital-based diploma nursing program located in South St. Louis on the St. Alexius Hospital, Jefferson campus. We have been educating nurses for more the 100 years and offer today’s students both a Registered Nurse track and a Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse (LPN to RN) bridge track. In addition to hands-on clinical experience, nursing students receive classroom instruction in our Educational Building, which includes a health science library, instructional laboratories, classrooms and conference areas. Student housing, financial aid, counseling services and leadership opportunities are available. Lutheran School of Nursing is a department of St. Alexius Hospital Corporation #1 which is owned by Envision Hospital Corporation. Lutheran School of Nursing is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and has full approval from the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
