LPN to RN Bridge Track*

The LPN to RN Bridge Track is an approximately 15-month, full-time, day program that prepares LPN’s to become Registered Nurses. The program has both fall and spring start dates. Lutheran School of Nursing’s LPN to RN Bridge Track is designed for Licensed Practical Nurses who want to pursue a career as an RN.

In addition to these requirements, applicants to the LPN to RN Bridge Program must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 in a minimum of 20 college level credit hours. This requirement may be waived for an ACT of 20 or equivalent SAT score.
  • Submit copy of current LPN License.
  • Submit Estimate of Suitability Form from the coordinator of the practical nursing school.
  • Pass the LPN Proficiency Exam – This exam is required of all applicants for the LPN to RN Track. Upon achieving the required score on the exam, the LPN is granted 21 credit hours.
